Hello bloggers.
Today in class we have been making Matariki kites. We made these kites out of paper, Pastels, and watercolors. Once we had finished our kite we would give it to the teacher and they would cut it out for us. We read two books of two different tales about how Matariki happens. The tales were about 7 sisters who made kites but the wind was not strong enough until early morning it blew the kites up into the sky which became Matariki. The other story was about 2 gods leaving each and the son got mad so he ripped his eyes out there into the sky. What is your favorite story for Matariki?
